This geopark is located in Youyang County, Chongqing, and has an area of 120 km2. It became a national geopark in 2011. Youyang National Geopark is a large comprehensive geopark with karst peak clusters and valleys, underground karst caves, river and mountain views, and ethnic culture. The distinctive geology and climate conditions in Youyang also formed many karst sinkholes and stone forests. Youyang is one of the regions in southwestern China with the highest density of karst caves. The ten karst caves in the park have the best stalactite landscape in China.
