This geopark is located in Xingtai County, Hebei Province, on the eastern side of Mount Taihangshan. It has an area of 78 km2 and was designated a national geopark in 2011. It consists of three scenic districts: the Valley Cluster, Jiulong Valley and Yunmeng Mountain. The geological features in the geopark have been well preserved. The valley and ridge system is massive, rare in China and of great scientific value. Associated with the valley system are waterfalls, typical sedimentary structures and karst landscapes. They have important aesthetic and tourism value and are ideal for science popularisation, ecotourism and adventure tourism activities.
