This geopark is located in Xianning, Hubei Province. The park has an area of 212 km2, and most of the geological features are concentrated in an area of 29 km2. It became a national geopark in 2011. The geopark is characterised by karst landscapes and hot springs. Abundant rainfall has shaped the local landscape. The Dayatou Waterfall has a drop of 420 m, which is one of the highest waterfalls in China. The Yinshui Cave has a total length of 5,180 m and clearly illustrates the complete development of secondary sediments. The Xianning Hot Spring became famous 1,400 years ago and is a representative hot spring in China.
