This site is located in southwestern Norway, near the Atlantic coast northeast of Bergen. The two fjords are 120 km apart. The site extends for 500 km from Stavanger in the south to Andalsnes in the northeast. The fjords are two of the longest and deepest in the world, and their natural beauty is first-class. The site is the where the fjord landscape was first described.
