This park is located in Xinhe Town to the northeast of Wenling City, Zhejiang Province, and covers an area of 10.09 km2. It became a national mining park in 2010. The park consists of more than 300 open pits dating back to the Qing Dynasty or earlier. It has more than 1,000 modern underground mining chambers. The mining heritage can be categorised into four major types: mining production, mining activities, mining products and non-material mining activities. There are numerous mining activity features and mining product remains, ranging from 100 to 1,000 pieces, as well as 34 mining production and mining activity heritage sites.
