This geopark is located in a metalliferous mountain area and covers an area of 1,087 km2. It became a global geopark in 2010. The park is located in one of the most important mining areas in Italy. It comprises attractive coastal and mountain landscapes, and it is the home of an important cultural and art area that includes the city of Tuská and nearby cities.
