A tourism development strategy is a long-term plan and guiding principles developed by countries or regions for tourism development. From the trade perspective, a tourism development strategy is a general plan of the goals, means and methods for tourism development that is made according to the internal and external environments and its accessible resources to achieve long-term, stable and sustained development. It is a reflection of the industrial economy and is also the basis for formulating an industrial plan. It can be divided into macro and micro levels. From a microscale perspective, a tourism development strategy is a combination of plans, measures and programmes formulated by a regional tourism industry based on the strength of its tourism enterprises.
