This is a landscape composed of deformed pebbles formed by compression due to the heavy load of a glacier. Li Siguang labelled these deformed pebbles with different names symbolising their forms, such as oil lamp stone, saddle stone, iron stone, and sling chair stone. Later, additional varieties were proposed, such as pit stone, fractured stone, slipper stone and monkey face stone (Fig. 10).
