Sister parks relationships are established between geoparks for mutual benefits through better exchange of knowledge and experiences. These geoparks normally have similarities in their natural or geological resources and management, but this is not most essential. They work together for mutual promotion, marketing, joint activities, research, experience and knowledge sharing, and staff exchanges.
