This is a classification of stone forest landscapes in China. The representative types of karst stone forests in China can be classified into eight categories: (1) Laiyuan Baishi Mountain-type (towers) stone forest landscape, Heibei Province; (2) Wufeng Chaibu Stream-type stone forest landscape, Hubei Province; (3) Xingwen Tai’an-type stone forest landscape, Sichuan Province; (4) Baoting Xian An-type stone forest landscape, Hainan Province; (5) Hezhou Gupo Mountain-type marble forest landscape, Guangxi Province; (6) Shilin-type stone forest landscape, Yunnan Province; (7) Nidang-type stone forest landscape, Guizhou Province; and (8) Anxian-type calcareous conglomerate stone forest landscape, Sichuan Province. These landscapes are categorised according to the karst stone forest landscape classification principles.
