The protection of tourism resources refers to the protection of natural, cultural and social tourism resources, including the scenery, landscapes, geoheritage and environment, from destruction and pollution by means of increasing publicity and education, formulating laws and regulations and other means to maintain the original unique characteristics and attain sustainable use. Effective protective measures are formulated to counteract the factors causing the destruction of tourism resources, including the establishment of protection and management systems and agencies, delineating the scope and determining the objects of protection, and planning the carrying capacity, traffic and other measures.
