Moonstone

Moonstone is a feldspar gem composed of interspersed K and Na-rich feldspars that form a unique blurred moonshine effect of white or blue halos when the stone is rotated. It is usually colourless or white with blue, white or yellow halos. The main mining countries include India and Sri Lanka (Fig. 23).
