An arch of volcanic rocks is a bridge-like landform with two ends connected to a mountain to form a suspended arch. The rhyolite Fairy Bridge in Yandangshan, Zhejiang Province, is a typical example; it has a span of 37 m and an average width of 8 m. The arch is from 20–25 m high. Another type of volcanic natural bridge is related to basalt tunnels, which are formed by the collapse of a lava tunnel. Basalt bridges are located at the entrance to the lava tunnel at Haikou’s Seventy-Two Caves (Fig. 5).
