This is hot mineral water that contains iodine. Its occurrence and distribution are similar to those of bromine water, and it is usually found in the deep parts of sedimentary basins containing salts and hydrocarbon. The iodine content of hot mineral water and hot brine is lower than the bromine content. Based on its usage, iodine water can be divided into industrial iodine water, medical iodine water and drinking iodine water. Iodine water is mainly applied to the treatment of diseases such as arteriosclerosis, hyperthyroidism and rheumatoid arthritis.
