The Huangshan Geopark Granite Geology and Geomorphology Symposium was held in Huangshan on 4–9 April 2009. It was organised by the Chinese Academy of Tourism Earth Science and Geopark Research, Geological Society of China, and included more than 80 participants. The main theme was a review of research results on the formation and evolution of Huangshan granite geomorphology and landscapes. This was the first special research project on granite geomorphology and landscapes by the Academy. The ‘Huangshan Granite Geology and Geomorphology Proceeding’ was published.
