This geopark is located at the southern end of the Taihang Mountains and borders Jincheng in Shanxi to the northeast. It became a national geopark in 2005. The geopark covers an area of 52 km2 and includes geological relics and tectonic landforms, such as cliffs, gorges, valleys in Proterozoic quartz sandstone, peak clusters and peak forests on Palaeozoic carbonate rocks and three-stage terraces. The geopark has five scenic districts: Baoquan, Guanshan, Baligou, Huilong, and Wanxianshan.
