Braun-Falco´s Dermatology

Abstract

In the previous chapter, the dermatological aspects of infections with streptococci and staphylococci were presented; a separate chapter is planned for Lyme disease, leptospirosis, and relapsing fever. In the present chapter, however, the other bacterial infections of importance in dermatology are listed, including Gram-positive coryneform rods and other Gram-positives, as well as the various Gram-negative bacteria. Finally, there are descriptions of the mixed infections Noma, Ulcus tropicum, and the pathogens associated with animal bites.
