Regulation der Reproduktionsmedizin im europäischen Vergleich

Zusammenfassung

Eine Familie zu gründen gehört zu den fundamentalen Rechten des Menschen (United Nations 1948). Eine adäquate Behandlung der Infertilität eignet diesen Rechten, zumal Infertilität ein zunehmend beobachtetes Phänomen nicht nur der hoch entwickelten Gesellschaften ist. Eine Zunahme der Infertilität steht nicht zuletzt ursächlich im Zusammenhang mit verändertem gesundheitlichem, sozialem und gesellschaftlichem Verhalten der letzen Dekaden. Daher kommt der Fortpflanzungsmedizin zukünftig eine erhebliche Bedeutung zu. Die Möglichkeiten zur effektiven Nutzung reproduktionsmedizinischer Maßnahmen, um den Kinderwunsch zu erfüllen, sind weltweit verfügbar und mit hoher Expertise umsetzbar. Orientierung für eine gute medizinische Praxis bieten die Leitlinien der American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) und für Europa die der European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
