In diesem Kapitel sollen die strukturellen und endokrinologischen Zusammenhänge der Ovarfunktion und deren Regulation erläutert werden. Das Wissen um diese Vorgänge ist für das Verstehen von pathophysiologischen Veränderungen der Endokrinologie sowie für das Ableiten einer kausalen Therapie essenziell.
