Zusammenfassung
Bei den kongenitalen Lageanomalien (Hodenhochstand) sollte die korrekte Hodenlage im Skrotum vor Vollendung des 1. Lebensjahrs erreicht sein. Zunächst sollte in den ersten 6 Lebensmonaten ein noch möglicher Spontandeszensus abgewartet werden. Ab dem 6. Lebensmonat kann optional eine präoperative Hormontherapie eingeleitet werden – insbesondere mit dem Ziel, die spätere Fertilität zu verbessern. Insbesondere bei beidseitigem Hodenhochstand ist dieses Vorgehen empfohlen. Im Anschluss daran ist dann die operative Verlagerung in das Skrotum durchzuführen. Die operative Therapie sollte aber nicht z. B. durch eine verzögerte Hormontherapie zeitlich nach hinten geschoben werden.
