Zusammenfassung

Venenerkrankungen sind ein Volksleiden. Dabei geht es nicht nur um die kosmetische Beeinträchtigung durch die Krampfadern, sondern vor allem um die möglichen Komplikationen und Spätfolgen einer chronisch venösen Insuffizienz oder eines thrombembolischen Ereignisses, die mit erheblichen Risiken für die Betroffenen sowie auch Kosten für die Allgemeinheit verbunden sind.
