FormalPara Beschreibungβ-Alanin ist im Plasma und Urin normalerweise in sehr niedrigen Konzentrationen vorhanden bzw. nicht nachweisbar. Eine erhöhte Urinausscheidung ist nach Nierentransplantation möglich, vor allem bei Abstoßungsreaktionen. Patienten mit einem Ureidopropionasemangel können ebenfalls erhöhte Werte im Urin aufweisen.
