Transnationale Identitätskonstruktionen im Migrationskontext

Zusammenfassung

Die Frage nach migrantischen Identitätskonstruktionen stellt sich vor dem Hintergrund transnationaler Lebenswelten neu. Der Beitrag erörtert erstens identifikative Selbstbeschreibungen und -verortungen gegenwärtiger Migrantinnen und Migranten und zweitens ihre Potenziale und Kompetenzen der Transnationalität. Es wird gezeigt, dass Migrationsprozesse nicht mit sozialen Entwurzelungen gleichzusetzen sind, sondern Migrantinnen und Migranten vielmehr in der Lage sind, dynamische und multiple Bezüge sowohl zum Emigrations- als auch zum Immigrationsland zu entwickeln.
