Zusammenfassung
Die Bedeutung des kritischen Rationalismus für die Entwicklung vornehmlich der deutschsprachigen Nachkriegswirtschaftswissenschaften wird diskutiert. Die kritisch-rationalistische These von der einheitlichen nomologischen Ausrichtung aller Realwissenschaften wird mit Reinhard Seltens „methodologischem Dualismus“ einerseits und der Rolle unrealistischer Annahmen in der mathematischen Ökonomik andrerseits konfrontiert. Ungeachtet aller Bewunderung die Seltens „mathematische Praxeologie“ als Formalwissenschaft verdient, haftet dieser doch so viel des Misesschen Apriorismus an, dass sie aus Sicht des kritischen Rationalismus als Teil der empirischen Wissenschaft ebenso zurückgewiesen werden muss wie weite Teile der mathematischen „reinen“ Ökonomik.
