Zusammenfassung

mHealth-Angebote erfahren mit der Verbreitung von Smart Devices weiter Aufschwung. Gleichzeitig stellt die Anzahl verfügbarer Gesundheits-Apps die Nutzenden vor die schwierige Aufgabe, geeignete Angebote gezielt auszuwählen. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die aktuelle mHealth-Forschung und deren Entwicklung und zeigt Potenziale und Barrieren von mHealth im Kontext von Smart Devices auf. In diesem Zusammenhang wird auch das Potenzial von mHealth in Ländern mit unzureichender medizinischer Versorgung diskutiert.
