Zusammenfassung
Für deutsche an der Börse gelistete Unternehmen ergibt sich bislang nur die rechtliche Verpflichtung, ein angemessenes Risikomanagement und Risikocontrolling zu betreiben. In diesem Beitrag werden neben den sich hieraus ergebenen Interdependenzen zwischen dem Controlling und der Corporate Governance vielmehr auch ökologische und gesellschaftliche Aspekte mit berücksichtigt. Anhand eines Beispiels aus der Papierindustrie wird die praktische Umsetzung von unternehmerischer Nachhaltigkeit in ein bestehendes Controllingsystem aufgezeigt. Mit Aufstellung einer Öko-Gesellschaftsbilanz lassen sich für die Unternehmen eine verbesserte Kostenwirtschaftlichkeit durch höhere Ressourceneffizienz, eine Senkung der Transportemissionen sowie die Verbesserung von Image, Reputation und Glaubwürdigkeit in der Gesellschaft erreichen.
