Zusammenfassung

Aus der klinischen Untersuchung eines in Größe und/oder Gestalt auffälligen Kindes ergeben sich körperliche Abweichungen, die mit denen bekannter Krankheitsbilder verglichen und bei Übereinstimmung diesen zugeordnet werden können. Sind die Ursachen des klinisch vermuteten Syndroms bekannt, kann die Diagnose mit biochemischen, zyto- oder molekulargenetischen Methoden bestätigt werden.
