Abstract
This chapter is intented as an overview of techniques for detection of photons, from the infrared to the ultraviolet and extreme ultraviolet. We discuss the vacuum photon detectors, gaseous photon detectors, and semiconductor sensors, as well as recent progress in novel photon detection methods.
