Acute Abdomen can be defined generally as an intraabdominal process causing severe abdominal pain and often requiring surgical intenvetion. There are different causes of an acute abdomen. Leiomyomas especially when they ruptured may present as an acute abdomen. It is a condition that requires immediate judgement or decision as to management.
