Definitions
Environmental Education (EE)
EE is a process that helps in the development of attitudes, knowledge, and skills that are important to appreciate the relationships between people, their beliefs, and the diversity and variability of life on earth (IUCN 1971).
Technical/Vocational (Tech/Voc) Education
Tech/voc education is a multidisciplinary training that provides knowledge and skills for employment, thus advancing inclusivity, social equity, and sustainable development (UNESCO 2005).
Technical Education (TE)
TE refers to teaching the theory and science behind the occupation through applied science and technology in preparing students for work placement (UNESCO 2005).
Vocational Education (VE)
VE refers to practical skills and knowledge that prepare students for working in a specific trade, e.g., technician or in specialized vocations, e.g., engineering and accountancy (Lewin 1993).
