Definition
This chapter primarily deals with the “United Nations’ Educational, Social, Cultural Organization” (UNESCO) (2015a) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the SDG 4 “quality education and lifelong opportunities for all,” SDG 4.7 “Education for Sustainable Development” (ESD), and SDG 17 and 17.16 “global partnership for achieving ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ and their empirical and theoretical background/s as well.” The author has tried to review the literature on “Education for Sustainable Development” (ESD) and “global partnership for achieving Sustainable development Goals” and developed a conceptual model for enhancing global partnership and sustainability in India.
