Definitions
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Article 2 (United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2006) defines discrimination on the basis of disability as any distinction, exclusion, or restriction on the basis of disability which, on an equal basis with others, denies all human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural, civil, or any other field. It includes all forms of discrimination, including denial of reasonable accommodation.
Introduction
The right to equality and nondiscrimination is applicable in a crosscutting manner to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda) and all of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (United Nations General Assembly 2015b).
