Definitions
Degrowth is an equitable downscaling of production and consumption is considered in such a way that it increases human welfare and also leads to the improvement of ecological conditions at the regional and global levels in the long term. The idea of degrowth arose in response to three environmental, social, and economic crises.
Introduction
Economic growth is an increase in the market value of goods and services produced by an economy over time, which is contractually measured as the percent rate of increase in real gross domestic product, or real GDP, or the growth of the ratio of GDP to population (per capita GDP). The economic growth is a critical macroeconomic goal. Since it improves living standards, reduces absolute poverty, creates new jobs, and solves other social problems through increasing the country’s wealth.
