Definition

Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) of the pleura is a primitive and highly aggressive neoplasm of the pleural surface. DSRCT is a polyphenotypic malignancy with coexpression of epithelial, mesenchymal, and neural markers and unique t(11;22) (Figs. 1–3).
