It is an uncommon disease.
Age
It is most frequently seen in women over 50 years.
Sex
Female
Site
Mostly unilateral, in the form of single or multiple nodules. Bilaterality has been reported in patients with Carney Syndrome (Carney and Stratakis 1996; Carney and Toorkey 1991)
Symptoms and Treatment
Ductal adenoma may present as a palpable mass or sometimes with nipple discharge. On mammography, it is a well-delineated nodule, with smooth margins with or without coarse calcifications; ultrasonography may exhibit hypoechoic structure, sometimes located within a cyst and MR imaging shows smooth and clear margins (Matsubayashi et al. 2016).
