Membership

The National Center for the Dissemination of Disability Research (NCDDR) is operated by the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL), a private, nonprofit education research, development, and dissemination corporation based in Austin, Texas. The NCDDR partners with organizations such as the Campbell Collaboration and the Cochrane Collaboration to provide training and technical assistance for researchers.

Major Areas or Mission Statement

SEDL’s NCDDR is funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) in the US Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS). The scope of work of the NCDDR responds to NIDILRR’s concern for increasing the effective use of NIDILRR-sponsored research results in shaping new technologies, improving service delivery, and expanding decision-making options for people with disabilities and their families.
