Description

The Rivermead behavioral memory test-II consists of 11 subtests designed to assess memory difficulties frequently encountered by patients with acquired brain damage. The key features of the test are (1) its focus on tasks that are hypothesized to serve as analogues for everyday memory skill, and (2) its parallel forms to permit assessment of treatment effects. The current version includes four alternate versions. Subtests include remembering names, remembering hidden belongings, remembering an appointment, picture recognition, prose recall, recalling a short route, remembering an errand, orientation, and date and face recognition. For each subtest, a pass/fail screening score and a standardized profile score are generated. Testing time is 25–30 min. Normative data is provided for 118 people 14–69 years of age, 119 people 70–96 years of age, along with data from 176 people with brain injury.
