Abstract

Stapled hemorrhoidopexy is an established technique for treating symptomatic prolapsing hemorrhoids. It is a safe procedure with benefits including less postoperative pain compared to conventional open hemorrhoidectomy, although increased rates of recurrence in the longer term. The key to success is meticulous surgical technique. We describe a technique for stapled hemorrhoidopexy that has proven to produce reliable results and reduce the risk of complications.
