Abstract
One of the trickiest decisions, when conservative procedures in the treatment of hemorrhoids fail, is represented by the selection of which kind of surgical approach should be performed in a patient with a determinate clinical presentation of hemorrhoids, and why and where some strategies should be chosen or avoided. The most important aspect remains the communication and the match with patient’s expectations and needs, and not least the ability, availability of devices, and confidence of the surgeon who is approaching to treat hemorrhoids with a determinate technique.
