Career
John Gottman holds a B.S. in mathematics-physics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He completed an M.S. in mathematics-psychology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1964, and an M.A. clinical psychology-mathematics, University of Wisconsin in 1967. His Ph.D. in clinical psychology was earned at the University of Wisconsin in 1971.
