William P. Russell
Introduction
William P. Russell is the Core Faculty Director of the Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Northwestern University. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology at Northwestern University and a Senior Staff Therapist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University (TFI).
Over his 40-year career as a Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist, he has worked in school systems, a community mental health center, the Veterans Administration, and, for the past 26 years, TFI. His diverse career activities have focused on clinical work, program design and development, supervision and training, teaching at the graduate and post-graduate level, and advancing a comprehensive model of systemic practice. He has published a book on Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST), as well as articles and chapters on the approach and on other topics related to the practice of couple and family therapy.
