Introduction
The Marital Satisfaction Inventory-Revised (MSI-R; Snyder 1997) is a multidimensional measure of intimate relationship functioning designed to identify the nature and intensity of distress in distinct areas of partner interaction. The MSI-R is written at a 6th grade reading level and is composed of 150 true-false items. The measure is administered to both partners separately and requires approximately 25 min to complete. Each individual’s results can be scored and interpreted separately or – preferably and more informatively – the results from both members of the couple can be displayed and interpreted in conjunction with one another.
