Introduction
Dr. Marianne Wamboldt, child psychiatrist, is the medical director of the FAMILY Program, University of Colorado Depression Center, and professor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado.
Career
Dr. Wamboldt completed her undergraduate education at Marquette University and medical school and general psychiatry training at the University of Wisconsin. She did a clinical research fellowship at NIMH in Bethesda, Maryland, before finishing her training in child psychiatry at the University of Colorado. She has conducted her professional career almost exclusively in Denver, Colorado. In addition to her current position, she has been the director of pediatric psychiatry at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center, vice chair for child psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado, and chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
