Abstract

Viral infections frequently present with mucocutaneous manifestations. Many of the eruptions are distinctive and self-limited, and the diagnosis is primarily based on the presenting pattern. Less often, the mucocutaneous lesions are accompanied by constitutional symptoms, and a delay in diagnosis and treatment of these diseases can lead to significant patient morbidity. Considering this, the chapter aims to present the most significant characteristics of the cutaneous virus infections which prepare the practitioners for identifying and managing of the viral skin diseases.
