Praseodymium (Pr) , from the Greek prasios (green) and didymos (twin), is a soft, ductile, malleable, moderately dense (6.773 g cm−3), silvery metal. Its electronic configuration is [Xe]4f36s2. It is moderately stable at room temperature and readily dissolves in mineral acids.
