Definitions
The term, “blockchain,” has various meanings in different context. It is often referred to as the set of the technologies constituting the blockchain-based system, including but not limited to the ledger, the consensus algorithm, the hash algorithm, the asymmetric cryptography, and so on (Narayanan et al. 2016). In the context of data structure, the term “blockchain” is referred to the chain of blocks. Each block includes a bundle of transactions bound together and is secured via cryptography. Each transaction is considered as connecting two entities which are identified by the cryptographic addresses generated from the public keys of them. The contents in the transaction indicate the transfer of valued data between the involved entities.
