Definitions

Local governance: Broadly construed, local governance implies a network of local organizations consisting of the civil society organizations, local functional groups, and also influential individuals associated with the delivery and management of local public services. Local governments, both urban and rural, are just a part of the network constituting “local governance.”

Financial governance: Financial governance gives stress on ensuring that financial management of an organization is well governed. Strictly following and maintaining the stringent set of rules and guidelines as promulgated by the appropriate regulatory bodies helps the organization to achieve good and effective financial governance.
