Introduction
Is it ever acceptable for a public official to lie or engage in deception? Is there a morally significant difference between lying and other behavior like misleading, deception, or evasion? These are some of the critical questions that scholars of ethics trying to answer for ages.
Lying in public sector is a serious problem for a society. Different cultures have different stories, songs, memes, and sayings which express how evil this behavior and how it can be harmful not only for individuals but also for the community. On the other hand, lying is one of the most common behaviors that we encounter almost every day in our private and public life.
