Definitions
Appreciative inquiry – is a model that seeks to engage stakeholders in self-determined change. The approach builds on strengths and enables opportunities for improvement through analysis, understanding, and discussion.
Benchmarking – is the process of comparing an organization’s business processes and performance metrics to industry’s best-in-class and best practices from other companies. This comparison allows the organization to learn from others and improve performance.
Best management practice – is a method or technique that has been generally accepted as superior as it produces results that are superior to those achieved by other means.
Continuous improvement – is an ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. These efforts can realize incremental improvement over time or breakthrough improvement all at once.
