Definition

Public procurement and knowledge sharing refers to activities centered around the exchange of information and ideas between individuals concerning public organizations’ purchasing of goods and services through formal and informal devices.

Introduction

Advancing the efficiency of public procurement can be achieved through knowledge sharing. The diversity of public procurement methods means that knowledge sharing between stakeholders can significantly increase the stakeholders’ understanding of the different methods as well as the benefits and disadvantages of each. As a result, stakeholders can make more informed decisions when choosing the appropriate channels to purchase goods and services that address the needs of society.
